Become a Volunteer!

Corning United Soccer Club is 100% volunteer-driven—and we need you.

Our mission to provide fun, competitive, and rewarding soccer experiences for youth in our community wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of parents, family members, and community supporters who step up each season to lend a hand.

Whether you have an hour a week or can take on a larger role, your time, energy, and enthusiasm are essential to the health and sustainability of our club. When you volunteer, you're not just supporting your own player—you're helping shape an experience that benefits every child in Corning United.

Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome help in many areas. Some positions are seasonal, others ongoing—but all are important:

Volunteer Committees

Our club runs on the time, energy, and heart of our families. If you’ve ever wondered how you can get involved, the committees below are a great way to make a meaningful impact. Each one supports an important part of the club’s operations, and we welcome parents, caregivers, and community members who want to help.

Team Management Committee

This group keeps our teams organized and supported throughout the season. Volunteers help oversee team rosters, coordinate referee fee payments, report game results, assist with basic field prep before matches, and handle other team-related tasks as they come up.
We aim to have at least one parent or guardian from every team represented on this committee.

Communications Committee

If you enjoy staying connected and sharing information, this committee might be a good fit. Responsibilities include updating the club website, posting on social media, putting together newsletters, taking and organizing photos, and helping with other communication needs. Creative minds and organized helpers are both welcome.

Club Operations Committee

This team keeps the club running smoothly behind the scenes. Volunteers help reserve and inspect fields, coordinate field lining, manage equipment and inventory, organize uniform assignments, and support the planning of our annual membership meetings. If you like logistics and hands-on tasks, this is a great place to jump in.

Membership Management Committee

This group supports player and family logistics. Tasks may include handling player passes, tracking volunteer hours through our system, and helping organize tournaments or special events. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys structure, planning, and staying on top of details.

Finance and Governance Committee

This committee focuses on the long-term health and stability of the club. Volunteers assist with budgeting, exploring grants and donations, supporting scholarship programs, updating bylaws, helping with board recruitment, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and contributing to fundraising activities.
If you have experience in finance, nonprofit work, leadership, or just a strong interest in good governance, your skills would be especially valued here.

How to Get Involved

When you register your player, you’ll have a chance to indicate how you’d like to help. Please take a moment to volunteer in any way you can—every contribution matters.

If a coach, team manager, or club leader reaches out asking for support, we hope you’ll be ready to say yes. Together, we can continue to grow a strong, supportive, and successful soccer community.
